热烈祝贺国际泪膜和眼表协会中国分会成立

      近日，国际泪膜和眼表协会(Tear Film&Ocular Surface Society，简称TFOS)官方宣布：TFOS中国分会(TFOS China)成立。

      第一届TFOS China的执委会由四位中国著名眼科专家组成。其中，温医大附属眼视光医院副院长陈蔚教授任主席。

      据悉，TFOS是眼部健康和教育的全球领袖，是眼科健康教育领域的世界领军组织。TFOS由美国哈佛大学David A. Sullivan教授创建成立于2000年，总部位于美国波士顿。TFOS是美国501(c)3认证的非盈利性组织，主要致力于促进眼表科学领域的研究、科普和教育方面的发展。TFOS全球团队包括科学家、临床医生和眼科领域产业专业人士，共同致力于为人类创建一个更加光明清晰的世界。

      在过去数十年里，TFOS在眼表泪膜领域科研中成果丰硕，组建了全球化的国际科研团队，进一步阐明了眼表泪膜的组成和调节机制，揭示了泪膜在维持角膜功能完整、抗菌和视力维持等方面起着关键性的作用。TFOS先后发布了2007干眼病国际专家共识（DEWS 2007）、2017年干眼病国际专家共识（DEWS II 2017）以及2023生活方式和眼表疾病国际专家共识（A Lifestyle Epidemic: Ocular Surface Disease），在全球眼科界享誉盛名。2017年7月12日，美国国会将TFOS DEWS II写入国会报告，并宣布2017年7月为美国“干眼病意识月”。

      TFOS China的成立，是中国眼科全球化战略的重大进展。TFOS China的使命是全心为中国眼科同行创建一个全球化的合作交流平台，依托TFOS全球丰富资源和中国眼科雄厚力量，通过开展国际学术交流、科研合作、教育培训、资源分享、全民科普等多种形式的项目活动，努力内联外畅，拓宽通道，聚焦前沿，突破屏障，融合创新，赋能未来，为“中国眼科走向世界，世界看见中国眼科”贡献力量。

      国际泪膜与眼表协会中国分会主席，温州医科大学眼视光学院（生物医学工程学院）、附属眼视光医院副院长，宁波市眼科医院院长，博鳌超级医院眼视光眼科中心主任，哈佛医学院Schepens眼科研究所博士后，全国眼科专家学术影响力百强学者，中华眼科学会专家会员，全国综合防控儿童青少年近视专家宣讲团专家成员，中国医师协会眼科分会眼感染学组副主任委员，中国康复医学会眼科分会干眼康复学组副主任委员，亚洲干眼学会创始理事，亚太眼科学杂志编委。入选浙江省万人计划科技创新领军人才和卫生高层次创新人才。

      Wei Chen, MD, PhD, is the Chair of TFOS China. Dr. Chen is a Professor and Vice-Chair of  the School of Ophthalmology & Optometry, Eye Hospital, Wenzhou Medical University, National Clinical Research Center for Ocular Diseases. He is also the Chair of Ningbo Eye Hospital and the Director of Eye Clinic in Boao Super Hospital in China. Dr. Chen was a postdoctoral fellow at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School (Boston, MA, USA), and at the Ocular Surface Center of Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX, USA). He has been awarded five grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and one National Key Technology Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He has authored more than 120 scientific research articles, and owns ten Chinese and four international patents. Dr. Chen is an advisory member of the China Cornea Society, a founding member of the Asia Dry Eye Society and an editorial board member of Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology. He has been invited to speak in over 30 international meetings and has performed more than 3000 cases of DALK, DSAEK/DMEK, PKPs and Boston Keratoprothesis surgeries. Dr. Chen's clinical and research interests include dry eye disease, corneal tissue engineering, and corneal transplantation.
